LOS ANGELES, CA., May. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SoftEngine today announced the appointment of Bernard May , a marketing professional with 18 years experience in the computer software and high tech industry, to SoftEngine’s management team as Chief Marketing Officer. May will oversee the company’s marketing, branding and public relations strategies.

“Bernard is an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” said Hardy Soderholm, Chief Operating Officer. “He brings SoftEngine extensive experience promoting and marketing enterprise software. His experience will prove to be a critical factor in the rapid growth of SoftEngine over the next few years.”

Before joining SoftEngine, May served as Vice President of Marketing at First Advantage Corp (NASDAQ: FADV), where he led the marketing team responsible for the Enterprise Screening Division. Prior to that, May worked at US Search.com as Vice President (NASDAQ: SRCH), where he was responsible for the Internet Trust Services Division. Bernard also worked at Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) as Senior Product Manager where he managed the Gateway Norton Anti-Virus and Internet Security product lines.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town and a Masters of Commerce in marketing and information systems from the University of Natal, South Africa.
